Judith Rita Hunter: 1935-2024

Posted

If you were a member of Judy’s family or one of her many friends, you had the pleasure of knowing her love of life, her generosity, and her quick laugh. She was always a fun hang!
Judy left us on Tuesday, April 23, at age 88. She was born on September 24, 1935, to Helen and Hugo Noce in Chicago. She was the devoted older sister to Carmine and Marie. The family moved to sunny California in 1949 and to the Pacific Northwest in 1968.
Judy and her husband, Donald, raised four children, and during that time she returned to college, earned a degree in Library Science, and thrived at her job at Group Health Cooperative as a researcher for the Boston Collaborative Drug Surveillance Program.
After Donald’s passing, she moved to Edmonds and loved her final ten years making new friends, playing bridge, hosting happy hours, attending Saturday evening Mass at Holy Rosary Church, and spending an abundance of precious time with her children: Jamie (Matthew), John (Marsha), and Marianna (Paul). She was the adored grandmother of Derek (Elysha), Melissa, Jordan (Ivy), Janay (AJ), and Jeffrey (Gazelle), and great-grandmother to their children.
Please join us in celebrating her life with a recitation of the Rosary and Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on May 31 at 10 a.m.
